Dear MJIA Community, The Michigan Journal of International Affairs (MJIA) stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and with protests throughout the country, and the world. We condemn the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers, as well as the murders of Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery, the latest developments in a four-hundred year history of inequality. Protests echoing the same calls of Black Lives Matter can now be seen in nearly every major world city, from Paris to Auckland.
